Default Question for the Derbysgire Wye regulars

Are there many private beats on this river.

This sounds like an almost schoolboy question as my knowledege and experience is only limited to The Peacock Hotel parts of the Wye fished and blanked a few years ago.

However, I have received a tentative invite to fish a private beat on this hallowed water and I would be silly not to accept. Therefore wodering where it might be.

Look forward to hearing from you guys in due course.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes Loopy... you would be as daft as a brush not to accept. Must be somewhere upstream of the Peacock water,or perhaps it could be the Haddon Hall water sandwiched inbetween the Peacocks water. Then there's the Monsal fishery upstream from the Peacock water, but strictly speaking Monsal isn't private. I don't know whether or not there's a beat or two sandwiched between Monsal and the Peacock water. Could be upstream of Monsal... Drat! S.O.A.B. always wanted to fish that bit!
Sorry if that's a bit confusing! Confused myself there for a minute!
Anyway, what kind of 'friends' do you have??!!

There are 6 private beats on the Wye below Monsal Dale.

Thanks lads for the replys.

I am afraid I don't know the name of the club/syndicate but if the trip materialises then I will be able reveal all.

I have a small problem in accepting as I will find difficulty in reciprocating but i'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
