Default River Eden near Appleby, day ticket?

I'd welcome any advice on day ticket stretches on the River Eden near Appleby. I've got a week there shortly and should manage 2 or 3 days fishing .

Internet suggests Penrith Anglers stretch around Bolton to Kirkby Thore, perhaps also the small stretch on Trout Beck? Also the Kirkby Stephen AA stretches at Warcop and Musgrave.

Any advice? Any tips?

Also, anyone know if you can buy a day-ticket a day or two in advance, rather than just on the day of fishing?

Thanks
Kev

I have fished the Appleby beats - preposterously good. Fish the slow bits and fish them very late

I am so glad to hear you say that TM, the bit about being preposterously good. My lovely wife has booked us a long weekend away in a mill house on the banks of the Lyvennet, a tributary of the Eden, for my birthday at the end of May. I have been given a green card to do as much fishing as I want. I am planning to fish the Eden as well as a couple of tributaries and am looking forward to it immensely.
