They have just shown the Lune at Kirkby Lonsdale, on the North West news, looks to be in a massive flood.

I fished the Hodder at Slaidburn yesterday, arrived at 8am and it was fishable, By 10 it had risen by 3' I drove back the Chorley via Stocks and Caton. High Bentham flooded and the Lune at Crook was VERY HIGH. Not seen it like that in a long time.

Very interesting letter in this months T&S about hydropower and the EA. Lets hope all the facts are made known before any work is allowed to start on the Forge weir project.

Went out to look at the river this morning, running at about 1ft ASL. It would appear that a lot of gravel movement has happened, also a few trees have come down in that last big flood.

Where abouts were you Lunesman.

I'm thinking of going up in the morning. Looks like we've had a bit of a lift today.

Thanks Lunesman.

I'll be having a throw on the lower river, just to dust off the cobwebs.

Hi Mike, hope you are well. Had a look down at the river this afternoon to see if anyone was about - was a bit windy! Couldn't see anyone fishing yet.

I was there for a couple of hours yesterday Ben.
I might be back on Saturday for a couple of hours, weather permitting.
