Default Esk Stocking

I was down the Esk (Musselburgh) for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and it had ben stocked that morning.

Unfortunately, many of the fish appear to have been stressed before releasing into the river.

I removed quite a number of dead brownies.

Hopefully, the remainder will survive.

The bailiff was asking people if they wouldn't mind staying off the stretch of the river where it had been stocked to give them time to settle in.

Sadly someone fishing fly and worm ignored the request and had already taken their 6 limit.

This is just a warning/advice for anyone thinking of making the trip.

Thanks.
