River tees - grayling at broken scar?

After 36 years fishing I have discovered this stretch of the river (

doh, what took me so long).

I know that it contains Grayling, is it a viable winter venue for them? I have come across waters where people "fish for grayling" in the winter and are really fishing for trout. I obviously dont want this, so is this a "proper" grayling water I can fly fish or trot a worm outside the trout and salmon season?

Yes you can.
Theres is probably something like 3 grayling to every trout on that water.

Why dont you come along on Sunday at 10 am meet in the car park
