Had a very good day at Buckden on Saturday 31 March. I caught 6 trout, all takeable. My dad caught also 6 trout.

I can't believe how good the river is up there. Clear water, plenty of fish in every pool, lots of bullhead. And the freshwater insects are in abundance.

All fish were caught on worm. Couldn't fly fish becuase it was rather windy!

I might go to Aysgarth, Ramsgill, Addingham or Appletreewick this saturday.

I wouldn't recommend the City water at Appletreewick this weekend as its a bank holiday and Mason's campsite will be packed

Hmmm I was just thinking that myself.

I am thinking about going to the River Ribble at Long Preston instead. If I don't catch anything there (or unless I don't find the place, as I have never been there before!!!) I might to go Buckden or Worton instead.
