Default Should I go fishing in the evening if it rained heavily-ish yesterday?

The river has risen about 4 inches and doesn't seem to have coloured up too much. The evening will be overcast with temperatures of about 15 degrees Celsius. Yesterday was about 13 degrees Celsius with constant heavy-ish rain.
Should I go fishing tonight if it doesn't rain any more? Can I hope to use dry flies? If not, what tactics should I use?

Why don't you just go and find out?

If in doubt go. Especially at this time of year. Rain can trigger all sorts of things. Unless it's chocolate

Living where I do, we have spate rivers, and more often than not, the best time to fish is on a falling river, as long as the water isn't too coloured.
If it is too coloured for a dry fly, just lob a nice big worm in, works a treat after a flood.

Its quite good to go when it is raining as quite a lot of insects get washed off the overhanging trees so the fish start to feed. I had a fantastic time during a rain storm while fishing on the Wye a few weeks ago. The fish started to bite at anything floating and even tough I couldn't actually see my fly in the water I got three fish in the space of 30 mins!

I got a bit wet though but hay ho!

I would say yes, cause fishing is better than anything else you could do the temps lately have been causing fish to be a wee bit shy and a good influx of fresh water should bring them on abit, plenty of food gets washed down at times like this so fish will use it to there advantage, fish normal spots and eddys, a weighted bloodworm would be my first choice as worms do get push down the river but most nymphs will do
