Default Trout fishing around Killarney (rivers)

I'm going to a stag party in Killarney at the start of April and plan on getting a days river fishing for trout in while I'm there. I can't find much information on trout fishing in rivers though - plenty on salmon and sea-trout fishing and lough fishing for trout. Anyone help with info on permits, stretches worth fishing etc.?

Ideally very close to Killarney so the Laune or Flesk are what I'm initially thinking.

Contact John Buckley in Killarney. He will put you right.

There's some nice brown trout fishing on the Laune, Steve. You can get permits at the Garage near Beauford Bridge just out the Killorglin Road. I think they do permits for Beat 1 & 2 there. Also the Flesk has some good brown trout fishing. From Killarney go out the Cork Road and it's one of the turn-offs to the right, can't remember exactly which one but it's not too far out.

John Buckley's tackle shop is now shut, you used to be able to get permits there. He's gone into the Tackle Wholesale business. You should be bale to get permits though in O'Neills Tackle Shop on Plunkett Street.

If you can, you should get out on the lake for the day though. Stunning scenery and plenty of trout.
