I haven't fished it myself but I worked in Welshpool for a while a couple of years ago and looked at fising it myself. I was told that it is one of these places that fishes well for probably 8 - 9 months of the year but gets very choked up in the summer. From what I remember the day ticket price wasn't too harsh and I think you can get a very reasonable 12 ticket for x-amount of fish as well. There is another fishery I think out four crosses way but I can't remember the name of it but if I was you i'd fish either lake Vyrnwy or Clwedog mate - stunning places. Also if you like your river fishing there is some cracking trout & grayling fishing on the severn and there is a free EA stretch just up stream from the mcdonalds in Newtown. Let us know how you get on.
