Default last chance to object to Clyde Quarry

Hi guys,

did you get round to sending your objection to South lanarkshire Council regarding the proposed quarry at Overburns on the Clyde? You can still send an objection by e-mail. Check out www.crag.uk.com for all current info please and send in your objections today.

My thanks to all who have already sent objection letter to the council, councillors, MSP, MP, MEP - every one counts. If you check SLC planning application CL/09/0318 you will see some of the objection letters on-line.

With your help, we can beat this!!

thanks, Maggie Martin (Sec) Lamington and District Angling Improvement Association

Hi Maggie, I have just returned this afternoon from a trip to the Clyde, and was fishing with several local chaps.
I was also up in August, and I, and some friends were interviewed on the river bank, by a journalist from the Observer.
She took photos, and recorded our conversations etc and we all said how against this quarry proposal we were obviously.
I don't know if the article ever went to print, do you ?
Anyway good luck with your endeavours, this needs stopping, and I hope you win the fight, and preserve that beautiful area.
Cheers Steven.
