I am planning to fish carron valley next week for the first time, i would appreciate if any1 has any tips for locations or flies to use. Thanks

fished it a few times years ago some nice fish in there always scored with a kate mclaren . think u can bank fish now as well but get a boat if u can

Hi Mark T this time last season small olive snatchers were doing well size 14`s and black & claret hoppers in the evening as the browns turned the still water into boiling soup mind and take some midge repelent you may need it as for a good spot close in top left just past the island hope this helps feel free to ask when you get there, There advise is normaly good as I found out on my first trip there.

Fished it last week.

Intermediate line with a Kate McLaren did the trick. Stick to fishing the road side of the reservoir and you won't go wrong.
