Default Glamorgan Anglers - Taff

Hi All,

Having recently joined Glamorgan Anglers, i aim to get down to the Taff this weekend.

Does anyone have any good spots and poters that i could use for my first trip.

Cheers

Jacko

hi jacko. a good place is near radyr wier. very good for trout and grayling. if you fish the lower taff it's very good half way between blackwier bridge and sophia garden bridge. you want to fish from the left bank fishing towards the right bank (pontcanna side) towards the area where the water starts to gets deeper. towards the evening you'll see lots of rises there. you might even pull out a chub by accident as they're always laying in the deeper area and will take flies readily. you could also try the deeper side by llandaff bridge. on the right day with the right flies this place can be deadly and no one hardly ever fishes it. hope this helps. tight lines
