Default Rutland Virgin:What flies for Rutland

Can anyone recommend what flies to use for Rutland Water next wk-end..and maybe some tips on lines how to fish the recommended flies...Thanks Guys.

There are a couple of other Rutland threads running at the moment, mostly from the guys fishing competitions:

but you get the idea.
Are you going to be bank or boat it?
Actually makes precious little difference, if you can get on fish it won't matter what you chuck at 'em they'll have it. Keep an eye on Rutland Gillies:
http://www.rutlandgillies.co.uk/reports/rutland.html, and speak to the lodge before you head out. There'll be more up to date info on here before the week end though.
