As a recent convert from coarse fishing I have been learning how to fly fish at local lakes and reservoirs. The next step is to have a bash at rivers, can anybody advise the nearest rivers to Kirton in Lindsey suitable for fly fishing.

Go and try Withern mill trout farm it has a half mile of river and a mill pool along with five lakes. I have been twice and had two great days. There is grayling and wild browns in the river, On their web site I read of some big brownies being caught last week. Apparently this fishery is under new ownwership they took over in December all I travel from Lincoln and it takes about 40 mins should only take you half that.

yep withern mill is a good place,new owners are friendly and very helpfull,also theres day ticket further up the river at saltfleet which is much closer for us
