Few years ago stayed near Wimbleball lake in North Devon but spent a morning on a set of ponds/lakes near by. If I remember right they were fed by a local river. Caught my biggest ever trout whose photo I have with some other deceased trout but I don't remember the fishery name.

Was it Bellbrook as they have four ponds

Blakewell near Barnstaple???

Exe vally is the name of the fishery. I was on the lake some time after 9.00am and remeber fishing a claret dabbler, octopus and some sort of olive. Fishing a quick retrieve for the dabbler after about 3 casts it was chomped and heading for the far bank at the head of a 5lb raindow bow wave.
