Default Calling all in the Southwest.

I fancy a spot of grayling fishing as soon as this cold spell is over, but there's not really any locally. I'm planning an overnight stay and a shortish train ride from London - maybe as far as Exeter or equivalent. Can anyone suggest somewhere good in the west/southwest, ideally around Didcot 'coz my bruv lives there and I could pretend I'd gone to visit my nieces & get free accomodation too. Don't mind coughing up for a day ticket at all. Any suggestions?
Dave.

From Didcot you could try the Coln at either Fairford or Coln St. Aldwyns. Alternativly carry on down the A34 for a bit and there's the Test.

Default River Exe

Sorry, not around Didcott but there can normally be good grayling fishing in middle reaches of the River Exe between Dulverton and Tiverton Try www.itsagreatcottage.co.uk for accommodation and fishing, or www.fishtheexe.co.uk for day tickets

Tight lines where ever you manage to find
