Welcome

Chalky on here is a regular so worth firing him a PM.

Not fishing it in many years but used to virtually live up there when I lived in Kilmacolm (had a season ticket and fished it almost every day of the school summer holiday....back in my yoof!).

Assume you know the water already but I always found the best spots were covering the deep hole at the dam wall, usually by casting at an angle across the dam from the direction of the hut. I also like the corner in front of the hut casting in the direction of the carpark. The middle platform was always good, casting away from the wood covering the deeper channel.

Never really used anything other than a floater as it can be quite weedy.

Rory

Lawfield was fishing well at weekend in between the bright spells with fish being caught on red head damsels, buzzers and dries. Tommy had 9 on RH damsel on saturday,Wee Joe was pulling fish up on Kate Maclaren today. Every day is different, depending on weather, but the craic is always the same and I remember Rory fishing in school holidays, always scrounging a lift doon the road.
