I doubt they will let you out.so Swanswater is probably a safe option(safe as in you won't drown)

hi guys,

My first report,
We went to north third and went out on the boats, George said he would not object if we decided not to, but my mind was made up, come hell or high water we were fishing!
At 10am the loch could be described as a howling maelstrom all the way from the dam to the islands it was white horses being blown along by the North/East gale. The only option was to fish the back of the islands, and all 26 boats done the same, it was bedlam.
After a couple of hours of hard fishing dodging boats and weed beds and no fish to the boat, we decided to venture out into the eye of the storm

With all the hatches batten down and the decks cleared we turned towards the dam. Well after five minutes that last vodka the night before (and no breakfast) was beginning to tell we eventually arrived at the peaceful haven of the big wall.
Upon till this point Davy my boat partner and I had tried various lures on an intermediate line, we decided to get down deeper.A fast sinker and a short leader, a size 10 black muddler and an orange size 10 boobie on a 3 foot cast.

10 minutes later first fish to the boat, Davy gets a 2lbder to the boobie,
then its my turn same size same fly.I would like to say we had found the method and the right tactic but that was the last touch for another 2 hours.

We drifted back up the loch below the crags stripping the flys back for all we were worth, forty yards from the wee bay at the top end davy.s line got ripped from his hand and the water exploded 15 yards in front of us,between the wind and waves and the shoreline rushing towards us and 71/2lb of muscle racing towards the grass panic nearly set in, well id did for dave
I pulled in the drogue and set to the oars ,with the boat under control and the fish doing what it wanted davy just held on for dear life, the beast helpfully swam round the back of the boat heading for the dam the wind was so strong at this point that I thought it best to let it beach it self,
5 minutes later dave held his prize.

Well we motored out 60 yards and tried again, by 4o.clock we had 5 fish in the boat all 2lb a hard day but worth while.

this was the view at 4pm.
