Default Lough Conn

Hi Ki,
I was at Conn and Cullin at mayfly time.Conditions was good, plenty fly around but the fishing was poor.I had 5 very small fish,6 inches, over 3 days. My mate had 3 fish, one of his maybe half pound weight. I wasen't impressed with it at all. Let me know how you get on and good luck.

Four of us were over there for mayfly time too for 3 days. My biggest (in the avatar) was 1 1/4lb. Took most of our fish on Wulffs. The trout are lightening fast and often splashed at your flies rather than took them.
Overall we caught 21 fish with biggest 3 1/2lb, so expect it to be hard, two fish is a good day.. Other than that can't say much, other than try the Moy for grilse

Neil.

Conn has not been fishing well recently as a mate of mine won the Whit festival with 3 fish for 2 days with only 21 fish landed for 126 anglers. Reports from other anglers I know say it is hard going and a lot of boats have blanked recently. Must be due to the weather as Corrib has not been good either.

Best of luck!
