Default Flies for the season

hey guys, just a quick question. ive got about 60-70 flies, a mixture of

cdc and elk
elk hair caddis
deer hair and cdc emergers in a range of colours (olive, black, yellow, and some ridiculous looking blue and red monstrosities, which were the result of boredom.)
Multiply colours of wooly buggers(Brown,Black,Yellow,Grey/Silver)
grey wulffs
parachute adams
and some olive and brown klinkhammers.

Any input would be useful as to which flies i should tie or buy depending on thier difficulty. im not the best tyer, id say just below average, nothing special so if you could suggest some easy to tie patterns that i could or should add.

Thanks alot

Neil.

Are you fishing rivers, stillwaters or both?

Pheasant tail nymphs, Gold ribbed hares ear (plus some with gold bead).
Grey dusters, Grithiffs Gnats and black gnats. F Flies in various colours, also some with tails. Several sizes for all types.

I'd say definitely F-flies. With a slightly spikey dubbed thorax and some CDC butts sticking out over the eye a small bit. CDC loop emergers River Fly Box, Tying the CDC Loop Emerger

Foam Beetles with rubber legs. CDC comparaduns.

I wouldn't be without any of these on the river.

Aside from the nymph patterns mentioned by others & to which I would add you can never have enough PTN's or Hares Ear variants! If you can manage it I would have a few F Flies in black as small as you can manage. I feel size is an important factor and in terms of ease of tying and fitting a load of uses, size 18, and 20 F flies can work when they are fussy for size) Smaller still if you can manage- Not lots, just a few of each size though CDC is prone to get greasy if its working for you! A nice problem to have!

I dont think ill manage the f-fly's in small sizes. the smallest ive managed to tie properly is 14 aha. ive got sausage fingers and hands of butter i do, so small flies are not going to be possible ahaha. ive tied about 10 klinks in differning colours and larger f flies, some pheasant tails and some hare's ears aswell, but ive got until the 15th of march to tie more if needs be. thanks for the help guys.
