I was up the Clyde today at Abington(not fishing) and returned along the Clyde valley till Lanark. There were no anglers that i could see,and apart from wind, the river was at a good height.but no visable fishermen.I then went for a looksee at Wolfclyde bridge. No cars or fishermen.?I then moved down to Thankerton Bridge.(end of Lamington beat) Nobody.I then went to the Hozier beat at Hyndford bridge ,Nobody.
The river was at a great height for fishing. No anglers.OK as I got home it started to snow.so it would have probably been pretty bad at Abington.but at 11am it was perfect grayling conditions.

I was over most road bridges over the lower Clyde yesterday morning. I then had jobs in Carnwath, Symington, Biggar and Broughton in the afternoon, and did not see one single angler, nor even a car parked at Wolfeclyde or Boat Bridges. Very quiet. Drove down the Clyde valley the day before and only seen one angler at Mauldslie.

Bill you are in fact the only other angler we have met on the Clyde since November.

Incidentally we saw a few Crayfish carcases today is that related to the earlier closure upstream

The Crayfish seem to have made their way down as far as Crawford now.I have not been able to find out if the closure above telford bridge has now been lifted ,as the trapping of the Crayfish appears to have been abandoned through lack of funds.
