Smile At last....

Been out four times in the last three weeks for Grayling and had not a touch until yesterday. Having entered the Earlstone competition on the Tweed with the intention of watching how its done and picking up some tips, I caught a cracking fish measuring 39cm. I estimated it to be about 1.5 lbs? Lovely fish and chuffed to bits I got drawn the upper mertoun beat a nice stretch of river. Does anyone know if this part of the river has permits available for trout/grayling, I know some of the stretches are private and were only made available for the comp. Anyway a good day out, well organised comp and one I wont forget in a while
