Default What club to join

After several years of fishing stillwaters I have decided to take the plunge and switch my attention to rivers. Its something Ive wanted to do for a long time but where I am located has always stopped me.

I live in Nuneaton in Warwickshire and have been looking at the various options open to me within an hour or so drive of my home and have decided on the rivers of the Peak district as probably my best option.
I am now looking for some advice on what club to put my name down for. Ideally the lower Peak area is a little nearer for me but I am willing to travel upto 50 -60 miles so what club do you think would give me the best option.
Idealy I would like the chance of both small and larger river fishing and a reasonable stock of trout and perhaps ladies for the winter.

Im undecided between DCAA, LADFFA or DRAC or can anyone recommend any others with a reasonable chance of getting a place within the next couple of years of being on a waiting list

DCAA do not have a waiting list, not too sure about Leek & District or Derby Railway.

Have you thought of - www.gopsallfishingclub.org.uk, they have fishing on the River Sence near Market Bosworth or
Swarbourne FFC they have fishing on the River Swarbourne south of Burton on Trent and the River Blythe near Rugeley

It may not be what you are looking for, but it is a fine small river club in south Derbyshire. The website is Home

Worth a look
