Default river clyde grayling fishing

hello and a happy new year, i wonder if anyone could give me any information about grayling fishing on a day ticket on the river clyde , i was staying in the north of england over christmas, i had a morning session at broken scar on the tees and had five greyling and a good out of season brown just under a pound,, the river level was around 0.73 metres, so just fishable. i also managed a couple of hours on the river teviot just before new year the river was high and a little too coloured but i still manage two grayling, fishing leader to hand on heavy pink bugs, i live in london and im traveling up north again in a couple weeks so weather permitting will have a fish..

Permits are controlled by a number of organisations- you can read about it all here
River Clyde | the unfamous fly
For the Upper Clyde you can buy permits at a number of outlets for a tenner a day for the Upper Clyde. Also consider the Annan. I had a great outing there a few weeks back about 20 minutes further south than the Upper Clyde. Tickets on Fishpal or direct from the UAAA.

Any chance of you ever making at least an effort to insert a comma or a full stop Scott?

It really isn't a great advert for welcoming people to our part of the world when they have to squint their eyes to decipher what we're trying to tell them.

Scott have you even checked a weather forecast? Or did you just make it up that the conditions won't be any good for a whole month? PMSL

Think Abington will be fishable tomorrow? River levels been dropping all day and it's stayed dry. No bothered if I catch I just fancy throwing a flea.

If I were you I would hold off until morning and check SEPA records. I think they are updated around 8am which will show the river levels for around 6am the same morning. If you are in Glasgow you may often see the river rising, but up on the head waters it can be falling and perfect, and even low, such is the length of river in between. Strathclyde loch, the Avon and the North Calder chuck a lot of water downstream to Glasgow, so if they are low then your water levels will be dropping down below, but things could be completely different 50 miles away by road covering 80 miles of meandering river above.

The reason I say that is the burn running through my village near Carluke is in flood tonight.
