Default What Flies to tie for Browns

Hi all
Just joined a club which runs a small natural and stocked brown trout water.
Fishing is from one of the four boats only.
I want to start tying before opening day in May

What Flies would you suggest

Thanks Gazza

Wot, no dries? A size 14 black bob's bits, a fiery brown sedge hog and a size 14 klink type in grey with a red tag (the "red irresistible") did most of the damage for me last season for wild trout on lochs.

whatever the venue I would start with a pearly invicta on the point
and the following combinations on droppers tied in 12's
bibio hopper
claret hopper
pearly palmer
kate mclaren
claret bumble
zulu chimney brush style
cruncher (size 10 for point when you get fed up catching on the invicta )
green halo d/b
and finally greenwell spider

If there is a bit of a wave or its nearing dusk just watch big fish chase down a s/palmer muddler fished on its todd
