Does anyone on this forum fish Nant Moel Reservoir?? It is in Aberdare.

Yes I fish it my self but hav'nt been up there for ages. To be honest the website is the worst ever! No replies since 2009!!!

Never fished it, although I did once try but was told at the Post Office that it was members only. Headed off to Llandeg instead then. Used to also fish Penderyn but that is members only now too, so haven't been there this season.

It is now open for Day Ticketers for £10 kill your 1st, kill your 2nd and go (Don't have to take if you don't want). But for £100 same kill 2nd and go, you can go there how many times you wish. But a word of warning it is full of Carp 30lb+, They are monsters!!

Life member. Nailed a 22lb+ carp on a recent visit.

The biggest I've caught is a 10lb on a white fritz lure on the side in the summer. There were about 8/9 of them in a group and I picked one of the smallest as I didnt want to snap my rod!

Recently moved to Abergavenny and I am really interested in fishing Nant Moel. Could someone explain (or give a postcode) its location?

And hunter_gillard is it open this time of year?

Sounds like an intriguing venue. If you wouldnt mind providing a bit of info it would be very much appreciated.

day tickets available from the army and navy shop in aberdare £10. it is very good fishing closed 1 month a year if i am correct
