I have to agree with The Trout Tickler. The only addition I can add is I tend to tie my Bead head PTNs similar to the polish varients which are tied with a red, pink, orange silk. Somewhat similar to Davie McPhail's. I have had loads of success with this pattern, in fact, I often favour it over the czech style nymphs.

To catch the better fish, you really need to allow for a couple of frosts to climatise the little ladies. Good luck with pursuing these little gems, they really are a fun fish to catch!
