I reckon I might give the Pinsley Brook a go, nice and early in the season. The WUF describes it as:

"The Pinsley Brook is a small tributary of the River Lugg, flowing through the rolling countryside of north Herefordshire. The Pinsley has many characteristics of a southern chalk stream, and although very small in places has a very healthy population of trout. Early in the season should be the best time to fish the brook, before the bank side vegetation is at its most dense - as the season progresses however, fishing the Pinsley will be a real challenge for the more accurate casters."

1st day of the season, reckon that's early enough?

Spencer,

The Lugg was the very first river I fished on the WUF passport, still one of my most enjoyable day's fishing. I caught a fish on my 1st cast there too, on a black klink, and then had a lot of fun when the mayflies started hatching!

I also want to try the nearby Arrow next season.

Secret brook, been watching a big ****** in there if it's not 5lb I'd be shocked. Yep as I type that last sentence, I've decided secret brook it is. That fish will be mine, momentarily of course.
