Had a session this afternoon, a bit slow at first, downsized to a size 18 wee green spider on the dropper and started to catch. Caught a wee brownie of 6" but 4 grayling, 1/2 lb, 2 at 3/4 lb, then my best Tees grayling at about 1 1/4 lb. Lost 2 decent grayling as well.

Water was a bit low - the fish were in the fast water.

Really enjoyable 2 hour session - possibly my last fly fishing trip this year?

If it is your last trip, a nice way to round off the year. It sounds as if it was a very enjoyable session.

Aye it was brilliant, this will probably be my last fly fishing session of 2011.........then there's sea fishing until the Troot season starts again.....
