Default Fishing around Masham - N. Yorkshire

Hi,
Could anyone advise on which clubs have the fishing rights, on the Ure, each side of the Masham Angling club stretch - I understand that there is a very long waiting list for this club.

Have found the waters controlled by Bradford City club, further upstream, who else has water here?

I would like to join a club that has water in this area, as I will be visiting a lot in the future.

Any advice welcome!

Thanks
Dave

Why don't you join Masham as a Grayling member to start with, it gets your foot in the door, a few guys on here did just that, not quite sure who is next stretch up from Masham but just slightly upstream the black bull club have the fishing downstream of Kilgrim Bridge, Thornaby have upstream of Kilgrim Bridge and Jerveaux Fly Fishers also have the opposite bank right up near enough to Middleham, Downstream from Masham that belongs to Tanfield which you wont get in to unless you have loads of £££££, sorry cant be more specific but its a starter

The Yorkshire Fly Fishers' Club control the left bank from upstream of the road bridge to Charlcott - about 2.5 miles (the Clifton Castle estate).

A good club for a Lanky lad - we have the Ribble above Sawley, Rigmaden on the Lune and more water on the Eden and Eamont than you can shake a stick at.
The water on the Ure is delightful and only the near 2 hour drive from Preston prevents me from visiting more.

Matt
hope they dont shorten it somehow
