Never tried this but im considering forgoing my winter pike on the fly outings for some grayling fishing.

Could anyone reccomend any grayling fishing spots with permit details around the Holmfirth/huddersfield area, west yorkshire.

There's some decent Grayling fishing around Huddersfield town centre on the Colne and the Holme and its free. There's also some good Grayling fishing on the Slaithwaite & District controlled waters on the Colne higher up the Valley, no day tickets available but good value at £40 for a year book, some good trout fishing also. Abit further afield there's good Grayling fishing on the Calder around Halifax and at £5 a day ticket its good value, tickets are available from Jewsons Tackle in Halifax and the Post Office in Sowerby Bridge.
