Default Waders, which ones?

First post, so be nice . I know its in the wrong section. However its the one i visit the most and the thread is kinda semi related. Anyways I have been told time and time again, that I need a decent pair of waders. So I have been looking on-line and narrowed it down to a few pairs. On a budget of £200 for waders and boots, I feel I have found the best of the bunch. They are: Airflo Delta Breathable Stockingfoot Waders (comes with a pair of Airflo X-stream Wading Boots)or Guideline Gaula Waders (with Crosswater V2 wading boots) or Orvis Silver Label XT Bootfoot waders or the Orvis Endura Stockingfoot Waders (possibly the Bootfoot version).
So is anyone able to give any advice on the above pairs or mabye suggest an alternative?

Thanks

They're all gonna leak sooner or later !!! But the Orvis guarantee is 'watertight'

i bought the snowbee prestige (i think thats what they are called) £175 i've had them 18months & only now i've got a small weep coming through the seam of the sock area. I fish alot & quite hard climbing over bolders etc so i've no complaints with these!

saying all this i did rip them on a barb wire fence last weekend
Hopefully my repair skills have worked for saturday!!

Ave got the Airflo Delta ones and don't have any probs with them. I got the ones without the zip at the front and they never had the boots to match so they upgraded the boots free of charge happy days

The Bison ones get great reviews on this site...Much cheaper than Orvis...Cant say how good they are but im thinking of buying some.

I figure no matter how much you pay there is always something that can poke a hole in em....So 79 quid means I can have 3 pairs before I hit Orvis, Simms or Hardy prices.

Are you a Designer fisherman or a Fisherman is the question?

You do get what you pay for but sometimes it doesnt equate to how long stuff lasts in the real world!

Hi, i got a super deal at the Glasgow Angling Centre for Stillwater breathable waders plus Stillwater boots. (Stillwater is their in house brand name). I'm an average size guy and the medium fits perfectly. Got the set for £129.99, normal price i think £149.99. Absolute bargain, wearing as well as anything i've used and well aware from comments and observations from friends how so called expensive brands seem to leak frequently. So my advice is to go cheaper and replace as required.

I've just had come a pair of Vision waders 199 sale 169 pounds. I have not tried them in the river, but they are the best fitting waders, I've ever tried on.

6 layers in the lower 3 in the upper. For the money if I get 2 years, I will be very pleased.

dont waste your hard earned on airflo.. cheap sheite, awful customent service and stroppy staff

example... me : hi my airflop waders leak

airflop: send them back

Me: i sent my waders back 3 weeks ago cos they leak i go on holiday in 3 days and would kinda like to take em..

Airflop: tough we are stock taking you will have to wait..

Me: thats really not on...

Airflop.. well our records show you have had these replaced once...

Me: yes.... because they leak.. can i speak to someone in charge...

Airflop "boss": i will take a look at them...** later** i have taken a look they have pinholes in the backside, you must have done by walking through grass, and they have mould growing on the inside

Me: No... i dont walk through tall grass where i fish, the mould i more than likely due to them being shipped back damp COS THEY LEAK LIKE A SIEVE then they sat in your warehouse for 2 weeks.

Airflop: tuff we arent gonna replace them, oh and if you want them back we want a cheque for £9, if we dont get it in 2 weeks we will bin them...

Example 2:

Me: Hi my orvis waders leak

Orvis: very sorry bout that, lets get you sorted out with a replacement pair, i just have to check them over fot obvious holes... ***some time later***

Orvis: sorry about the wait, i have looked at your waders and they do not have any rips or holes, where are they leaking...

Me:left leg and crotch

Orvis, ok thats fine, well i had a look and we dont seem to have a pair of Endura in fat northerner size if you want the Endura i can order you a pair in, it will take a few days, or we have a pair of silver label III we can upgrade you to FOC...

Me: i will take the upgrade if thats ok..

Orvis : thats no problem Mr Pimp, sorry for any inconvenience caused, have a good day.

Buy orvis... No brainer
