Default Trout Fishing in Ireland after October 2nd

Hi Guys

Being sent to Ireland for Two whole weeks next sunday for work, will be travelling the length and breath of the country.

I understand that it is possible to fish the Ballymoney burn for trout in Northern Ireland for around £7 per day via the Fishpal website and a couple of others in the same area for similar price, ie the Rhee/Agivey

Does anyone have any info for similar priced fishing in the south available from the 2nd October, Also I understand that in the North I need to purchase a Licence 3or7 days will be the maximum I need but does this cover salmon/seatrout or is there a separate licence as in the UK

Any other related info would be greatly appreciated....!!!!

Happy Fishing

Many of the waters close at the end of september. There are a lot of NI waters open until the end of october, giving you a chance to fish for dollaghan in the Lough Neagh Rivers (Six Mile, Maine, Ballinderry etc). As far as i know Lough Sheelin is open until mid October - opportunity of a big wild brownie. Loughs Ennell and Owel and Lene are also open.
Info on permits in NI is available here.
You'll need a game rod licence, and permits for many of the waters.

Thanks for the Replies everyone

From what I understand if I purchase a combined 14 day game permit/Licence for £24 on the DCAL website will I then be able to fish most places across Northern Ireland without purchasing any extra permits/licences.

Is this correct
