Default STREAMFLEX THREAD - Hardy resurrect "Prince" and "Golden Prince" Patents?

Just finished reading the thread about the Streamflex rod and visited the Hardy/Greys website. Saw the mention of the new Greys Streamlite reel.

Looked familiar! Went into my gun room to check on an actual Golden Prince and it appears to use the same drag system as on the innovative Prince (and Golden Prince) series of reels!

There is nothing new under the sun. Except it is a good deal cheaper in price than the Prince series was when listed over a decade ago. I wonder if the old issues surrounding this design will also resurrect?

May I ask, for those that have one, is the Streamflex a slow action like the old Classic and Deluxe Classic rods that Hardy did, contemporary with the Sovereign...but an easier action?

Do users of the Streamflex that have posted here use a WF or DT profile. A #4 on a #4 or down a weight?

I use a 7'6 #3 with a DT4 to improve loading for short range fishing tho' it still happily punches out 50-60' when required. Med towards fast action with fast recovery IMHO, lovely feel. Various models of the range have featured in magazine group tests and/or reviews over the last 12-18m and have always been very favourably recieved. I have heard the 6'6#3 described as fast, and more generally the range likened to Sage SLT.
