Trout Of Doubt is on a distinguished road
Default Greys GRXI+ and CS2 brook rods

I'm considering a 7' or shorter rod for small stream fishing and have seen the short Greys GRXI+ and CS2 rods in the new Glasgow Acngling Centre catalogue.

I'm obviously going to have a quick swing with anything before I buy, but any general thoughts on these rods.
(I'm not that familiar with Greys other than as a name, so any thoughts on the brand as well as the actual rods would be apreciated.)

The missus got me a 7ft #3wt GRXi+ for Xmas
As it's closed season for river Trout, I have used it in the sea a few times and put a good bend in it with plenty of small Pollack.
It seems like a nice rod - not fast, bends without any flat-spots and the pieces hold together well.
I wanted a 4pc brook rod so I could easily pack it in a suitcase for holidays. The GRXi+ certainly does the job.

Greys GRXi for me! I have a 7ft, and I wouldn't part with it!! IMHO it's far better than many of the more expensive rods!!

If the GRXi + is anything like (or even better) than the GRXi I quite agree. I have a 7ft GRXi and it's a great rod for the money.
