Rookstorm - 8 weight? No....More like a 7 Had a sharkskin on one last week, what a combination! It's not a rod i find hard to cast at all, in saing that though, it's not very nice below around 30' though. I personally wouldn't use it on a river with the 5 line.

EDIT: Interesting Alistair. The only reason i'm buying in the US is i have friends over there and it's a pretty cheap offer. Need to get researching and find out what the story is.

I have known people to just send it straight to Sage in the US - no hassles!

Gary Coxon did seem pretty P*ssed when I told him I hadn't bought it from a UK tackle shop. But he has always provided a very fast service and once when the handle needed repaired on my old RPL+ the job done was top notch (and quick)
