Default Wychwood Truefly SLA

I can honestly say i have NEVER had a worse reel , i have had it stored in my house for about a month , after the last use i brought it in i cleaned it , dried it lubricated it and removed the spool and put it away , i just took it out and the handle has totally stuck :S and is impossible to unscrew , and the locking nut always falls off , the drag is **** , the spools go on and never come off , and its just well ....rubbish frankly... thoughts?

cheers

Chris

Hmm, I seem to remember a forum member posting pretty much the same experience with one of the pre-release reels he was trying.

I was thinking about getting one, I'll be interested to see how this thread pans out.

Well on the first outing it was awsome , but after that it just went steeply downhill , not like usual wychwood gear!

Had you spoken with Wychwood to allow them the opportunity to resolve the matter before posting up such a damning report?

The Pirate.

well i was finally able to get my hands on one and have absolute no faults with it what so ever ,,,, the spools fit perfectly and everything all goes back together again , drag is fine.
not actually used it though , but that would be hard seen as almost everywhere is frozen over just now.

and whats best is there is no gap for my line to get caught in and end up rubbing against the bottom guard which is exactly what happened with my Airflo C8.
i have the wychwood guarantee ready to post on tuesday.
