Default Sportfish - A class act

Just like to say a big thank you to Sportfish.

I purchased a Hardy Marksman reel and the bearing failed after a few outings.

They repaired it ( Hardy took ages ) but I found it stiffer than when new.

They gave me a huge allowance towards a new purchase ( about £160 or so ) and I bought a 3/4 Snowbee Geo from them.

A special thanks to Danny North and his team.

I have been dealing with Danny for years and he is a class act to deal with.

I've heard a few people slagging off Sportfish on here, but in 20 years buying from them, i've never had a complaint.

Glad you have found the service good for you on this occasion.

Sorry to say I can't agree they have been hopeless on more than one item that I have tried to order and ended cancelling the order when I got fed up waiting for them to get it in stock.

You are only as good as you last order.......sums up retailers to me. Let me down & I will go elsewhere.
Having said that Sportfish have been around for many years & have won "Best Online Retailer" time & time again so they must do something right.

I completely agree.

Buying from retailers regualry has to be nutured by the purchaser.
You then build up a relationship with the staff, they will then go the extra yard.

Those purchasers that do not, that just want to chase down the pennies will not get any benefit when things go wrong.

For me it has always been a two way thing and Danny North has always matched or bettered an item anywhere, and if he has struggled to I will then still give him the business, it is all a question of loyalty.

Ditto. No complaints in 20 years. I always deal with Danny too. Always true to his word. Customer service at its best.

Not always the cheapest, I don't think one goes to sportfish for a bargain. To be fair though, that kind of professional set-up costs big bucks. But if you want honest opinions, peace of mind, top customer service then nobody else comes close... in my opinion.

I have found them very competitive with pricing. Not as good as Grommit, but they will generally quote you a good price if you ask.
