Default Anglers Corner Oban

Was planning popping in there tomorrow for a nosey seen as I am down that way, is it worth a stop? and are there any other tackle shops in Oban?
Cheers

I was there a few weeks ago. Very small shop and it covers sea angling also, so not a lot of room for stock. If you are fishing in the area though, the guy that runs it is the man to speak to. I'd be more likely to stop in for a chat than to look for a deal.

OkeyDokey, drove past it but Oban is that busy couldnt get a parking space near it so was going to pop in tomorrow for a look. Any flytying stuff?, always like looking at materials in these smallers shops as you can sometimes pick up something that is now obsolete

I can't remember seeing much in the way of fly tying stuff, although I was only in there to get a ticket for a local water. There was a selection of flies though.

I know what you mean about the parking. It was a nightmare. If you follow the traffic flow past the shop, there is a car park (pay and display) up a left turn once you come back onto the prom. It is signposted Central parking. If you can't get in there, continue to head through Oban, as if you were heading south out of the town. You will come to a set of lights with a right turn signposted retail park or superstores. Loads of parking in there (3 hours free at Tesco). It is a ten minute walk back into the shop from there, but use the pedestrian shortcut out of the far corner of the Tesco car park.

As I said, I didn't spend too much time in the shop, so he may have some interesting stuff poked away. It is small though and had a constant trickle of sea angling tourists that kept the place pack-a-jam.

Thanks for the feedback, did see the other one but was put off by the fact it was in the bike shop and seems to be all shakespere stuff in the window.
