I think his lines workout at around 19/20 Euros and they are well worth it.

Muro,

I fly into Dublin Airport at least once a week. If the Pirate doesnt post to ROI or if you want to save on P&P then:

You can either pay the Pirate as per usual and he can post to me and I will fly it over for you and post to you (gratis) from the airport.

Or

Come and meet me at the airport as I am working on the new Terminal and can hand over your lines etc.

Not a worry for me at all as I am over at least once a week

Regards

Ben

They are his own design but will be manufactured by someone else - knowing the Pirate; someone good no doubt. He has built up a great reputation and would not damage that by lowering his standards with another manufacturer.

Already, his new batch are getting good reviews by very experienced anglers.

Many 'brand names' are made by other companies. From what I understand, there are only a handful of fly line manufacturers who make lines for the brand name companies.

A bit like GM make several different ranges of cars for different brand name.

And, as the man himself says, why pay more for a fancy box and spool when you can get a great line, on its own (sans box and spool) for a 1/4 of the price?

FOG - I understand PP has changed supplier as Shakey are not making lines for anyone else but themselves
