Default Wychwood Boatman Bag - 2006 Model

Guys

Have any of you any experience of the Wychwood Boatman Bag - 2006 Model, I am a fan of the Wychwood bags due to their outstanding quality and their ability to withstand the elements and abuse.

I need to change mine as the current boat bag is just about falling to pieces.

Here's a picture of it.

Unless of course you have any better recommendations.

Cheers in advance.

Hi Pint,
I have the previous model - 2005? to replace my original wychwood boat monster bag. My newer model seems to be made of lighter material. The dogue bag and reel puches & top reel compartment are handy touches.
It does the job though after being in service a season and still looks ok but does smell ;->

Pirate and others recommend a rigid plastic box or a tool type box, which, with hindsight, I should have bought.
They are waterproof, wipe clean (fish / bass in the boat!) and you can't leave a pocket slightly open to catch rain.

Neil.

I have the Snowbee boat bag in the largest size. Its light and appears well made with zero signs of wear after two season light use. I'd recommend it if you want a bag. However if I ever wear it out, and given that I fish infrequently that'll be some years away, i will look at the plastic box type options.

Any idea how many reel and spool compartments there are in this bag.

Difficult to tell..it's got the six you can see in the pic' but laods loads of nooks and crannies all over it. I keep mine in neoprene cases in the bottom under that tray arrangement. It will easily take five plus lunch and a thermos!
