I have a #7 and it is a nice bit of kit. Sharpes replaced my tip even though I got the rod second hand for the usual warrnty price of £30.

I would say the rod is mid to tip action. Very forgiving action and it needs to be for me.(Got a lesson booked, why did I wait so long?).

Fishtec5 are selling them on ebay at £165 and they had them in a 10 day sale recently for £115.

Default +3

Just parted with the model you mention.Tip to middle action which was just a bit to soft for me but with a very nice finish.Definitely a fishing rod for the discerning angler who doesn't have to reach the horizon with each cast.
Would recommend giving it a try before you buy.
ATB Andy.
