Does anyone here fish from or even know whether it's permitted to use your own kayak on a reservoir?

I am sure that you can fish on Roadford in Devon from a kayak.

But why would you want to? The fishery has gone down hill to such an extent all you are likely to catch is perch. However I am told that you can fish from a Kayak once you have paid the launching fee! You never know, you may get to play with one of the few four/five pounders that are still in there.

Yes there are lots of perch in there but the fishing can still be great.

I am happy for you to say these things as it means i get to fish it without loads of other anglers around
