I really like the simms vertical guide vest, which is definitely one of the best I have seen. And I will in future buy this one probably too
Fishpond also make some nice ladies vests but I dont like much the "ornament" design.

I have an old Patagonia vest (the one with two pockets at the back) and it's been superb. They don't make them any more, but they sometimes come up on ebay. No reason it wouldn't fit a female form either - it's loose-fit mesh.
