The has been mention on the forum how good the Scott S4 trout rod is. Does anyone have experience of the LS2 spey rod?

I have the LS2 12' #5, which is something of a niche rod. It's medium fast, very nice to cast with and has a quality finish. I don't know any of the other models. At the current UK price, LS2's look like a bargain because they cost a lot more than £349 a couple of years ago. (I paid a lot more for mine)

Am not sure but it might be better to ask on the Salmon forums as i'm sure there are lots more people on there that will be forthcoming on the subject.

Have a look on sexyloops also.

Here is one thread for you.

Already posted on the salmon forums.....no reply there either! Obviously not many sold. Maybe I'd be better with a Sage after all?

I bet if you asked about Hardy rods you would get loads of answers.

It does not mean there any good

Don't be silly.

They are superb rods.

I've cast the #7 at last year's Kelso fair; finding it to be a lighter rod than envisaged. It would be great with 8 - 10 lb leaders on low rivers in summer; and fantastic for Iceland etc.

The #8 is more of an all round rod; and the one I would buy. I believe there are a few in use on the River Dovey.

Therefore an enquiry on Hoppy's new Sea Trout Forum; www.seatroutforum.com should get a response from that area.

I would happily fish either the above models, I consider them to be in an altogether higher league than Hardy for example

As for Sage - they don't even have a 14 footish Z-Axis #8 in their range.

There's an LS2 14' #8 on e-bay at the moment here

It's £200 Buy It Now - no idea if that's good or not.

Looks a good deal to me.

Maybe the very rod I tried in Scotland? The seller is in Glasgow it seems.
