Default Orvis Rod Warranty

I recently purchased a couple of Orvis rods. I registered the rods using Orvis' Online Registration Form at the end of which there was a message saying "Thank you for registering your new Orvis rod with us, we will contact you shortly to confirm registration", or words to that effect!

This was a few weeks ago now and I've heard nothing. Is this anything to worry about? Perhaps if there is anyone from Orvis on here they could advise me?

Many thanks

SF

Hi there.

About a month ago, I also registered my Orvis rods using the online registration form and also received the same message that I would be contacted (by post presumably) to confirm registration.

I too have heard nothing since.

Seeing as your post was almost 3 months ago, have you now had any response? Has anyone else experienced this issue or otherwise received a timely confirmation of registration from Orvis?

I never registered my rod which I bought in America five years ago and, earlier this year, I noticed the paint had bubbled quite a bit so I emailed Orvis and they arranged for me to take it into a shop where it was replaced without question.

I was not asked about where or when I had bought it or even whether I was the original owner and I don't think they looked at the one I brought in, so I would not be too concerned !

I sent my card to the clearwater address in England as this is where the warranty cards go now , Even though the card has an address in the US , Just use the contact form again to chase them up , Orvis are just brilliant at customer service

Keep your receipt safe as they did ask me for it to be returned with rod a few weeks back

Yes, just keep the receipt. Then go to the shop, they are brilliant and so helpful. I have not once been asked a question when I take in waders that have a flaw, quite the reverse.
