I'd like to ask, where can I find a list of line capacity of Youngs' Beaudex fly reels? I'd like to buy one but the informations are foggy. There are reels with narrow, medium wide and wide drums but without exactly datas. Please help me, what size is the most suitable for a WF 7 I Ron Thompson intermediate line + 50-60 meters backing? The line is 30 meter long.

You'll probably need the wide version of the Beaudex to suit your line and backing. Young's original reels were designed when silk lines were in common use - these lines were much thinner than modern plastic lines so they did not as much space on the drum.

For a more exact capacity, you should contact Garry Mills at The Mill Tackle Company, who repairs Young's reels and is an expert on them
