Default Koma spools

Hi all just a quick query, i heard somewhere (forgot now ) thats the Vision Koma 6/7 spools fit into the 7/8 reels? and likewise the other way round, is this right? may have already been covered.

Cheers,

Jay

You're right in what you say but beware of the the quoted line capacity. I bought a 6/7 which is advertised as having a capacity of a WF7 plus 100yds of 20 lb backing, it just about fitted a WF7 Cortland floater on with no backing. If you intend using it with 7 weight lines you'll have to buy the 7/8. I ended up buying a 7/8 and swapping the spare spool for a 6/7. The 7/8 spool for the floater, the 6/7 for a fast sinker.

Hi Jay

You are totally correct in that

The Koma 7/8 spools will fit the 6/7 reel as they are same diameter. The spools are deepr than the 6/7 ones, thats the only difference

As we are on Koma reels does anyone have a problem with lateral play on them? I noticed that there was slight bit of lateral play on one of mine and when I looked into it is seemed like it was designed like it. Not a big issue but not really precision engineering (mind you what did I exepct for £50)
