Fishing the likes of Farmoor from the bank, or other lakes where distance is needed, we've been creating our own di8 shooting heads. Cutting between 30 and 50ft of di8, and attaching it to the new airflo ridge running line. Granted, this way they aren't allowed in competitions, but are great for pleasure fishing.

Attached using either two braided loops (loop to loop connection) or a splice connection using braid.

Funny enough, I was at Farmoor One on sunday and had some fantastic fish, had two around 4lb and two at least 6lb (although, not using boobies before anyone starts!).

I'll see you there Kieran, taking a couple of the youth lads over. Was there on Sat (Dean was there so i'm sure you've heard the deal) and it wasn't as easy as it has been.....that said, we still caught a fair few! Wind looks to be swinging round on Sunday, looking forward to trying some frsh water.
