Any ideas where I can get spares for a Trion 5/6 reel in the UK?

I have lost the little centre cap screw that screws into the drag adjuster. It's only cosmetic, but makes it look a but ratty.

More than a year on I'm still awaiting a response to my phone calls and emails about a brand new reel where the counter balance fell off.

Yeah, I walked into the shop I purchased it from firstly, and despite them having boxes and boxes of the Trion reels for sale they refused to swap it and passed me on to PF to deal with it.

Needless to say that £30 or £40 worth of fly tying materials I purchased once or twice a month now gets sourced from elsewhere.

But your contract was/is with the shop you purchased it from.

That's the law, they should have exchanged it.

I know that, you know that. I'm no shrinking violet but in a shop I considered 'homely' due to the amount of time I spent there, and due to the fact that the man who knocked me back is a great guy to fish with on the river, I meet him a lot, and a friend of friends blah blah, then I decided it would have been more embarrassing to kick up a fuss over what was a £70 reel. I know the fact it wasn't a £400 Hardy reel isn't the point, but in that situation I'm more inclined to take the hit and buy from elsewhere in future.

name and shame the shop.

if you pop into a Shakespeare supplier and get them to phone, or possibly phone Shakespeare yourself, they will post the bits, last time i did this they arrived within 24 hours at no cost, best back up service i have had for any bit of kit.

The link I put up was supplied by Shakespeare when I enquired about spares...
